Why ‘Cheap’ Could Be Expensive In Business Travel

The cost of business travel isn’t just about the cost of the flight and the hotel; other factors must come into play when calculating the true cost of a trip on behalf of the company, as a ‘discussion’ between a senior manager and his secretary proves… The boss always had his secretary sort out his business travel. She’d find him a suitable flight and make the necessary arrangements – but she wasn’t allowed to book it until he’d looked over the plan first. That was his first mistake. Aside from the wasteful micromanagement that was going on, he was wasting valuable time.
